We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Live-In Household Helper / Nanny to become an integral part of our family. The ideal candidate will support our household with cooking, cleaning, and errands, while also providing care and supervision for our children before and after school. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys a varied role that combines household management with light childcare.
The Specifics
Work arrangement: Full-time | 40-50 hours per week
Salary range: Based on experience
Requirements: MUST speak English, be able to travel to the US and Canada, and have a driver's license
Responsibilities
- Household management
Cooking meals, grocery shopping, and light housekeeping (cleaning, laundry, organizing). - Childcare support
Picking up children from school/activities, supervising them in the afternoons and evenings, and helping with homework and routines. - Routine maintenance
Coordinating daily schedules between household tasks and the children's after-school activities. - Safety and well-being
Ensuring a safe environment for the children during the hours they are in your care. - Communication
Maintaining open and clear communication with parents about the household and the children's daily activities. - Weekend availability
Occasional weekend evening support (e.g., Saturday nights) so parents can go out.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in household management, childcare, or a similar role.
- Comfortable cooking, cleaning, and running errands as part of daily responsibilities.
- Knowledge of child supervision and age-appropriate activities (children are school-age, not infants).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to travel to the US and Canada.
- Speaking English is a MUST.
- MUST have a driver's license.
